Why are we here?
The idea behind miniBana was born out of a need to notify other people about the various websites I had been working on, including sites about music, graphic design elements and web hosting/domain management services. Also, having spent considerable time analyzing and evaluating different SEO techniques, I wanted to make the best out of any possible Google ranking that my websites may receive. And that means linking to other content rich websites. In my search I noticed that there are various forms of banner exchange sites and advertising programs that webmasters can subscribe to but always at a price, be it financial or otherwise and while I have no problems with commercial ventures being promoted to promote promotions(!!), I figured that there was room on the World Wide Web for a simpler and more collaborative version of the traditional 'banner exchange' concept. ( Besides, I don't think the Google Robots like those pay-for-click sites very much!)
'What about Website Forums?' you ask? A fantastic resource for any web master and always highly recommended. In fact, it's not uncommon for Google to index Forum Posts about your web with-in hours of publishing.
Consider miniBana.com as an adjunct to the already valuable tools available - It's free so you've got nothing to loose!
All you need to do is submit a link to your website and upload your 40pix by 10pix 'minibana' which we will review and then authorize to be displayed on the front page on miniBana.com.
I recommend that you spend a few moments to design a minibana based on the logo of your web site but basically it can be anything you want, as long as you own the legal copyright to use the image you upload and display on miniBana.com
I am still trying to imagine what 100s of minibanas will look like on the front page!!
